A 1920s four panel wood and jade hardstone inlaid screen decorated with traditional oriental scenery. The screen’s designs are of evening festivities, pagoda and groups of young beauties in traditional costumes. All are carved out of hard jade stones and applied on the black lacquer background. Screen is embellished with hand painted scenery and traditional scroll designs in gold colors. All hard stone figures and pagoda painted with color lacquers to enhance a dramatic effect.
