A fine example of an 18th century American Massachusetts lowboy. The rectangular molded top has pinched corners above a case with two long and three aligned short drawers. Its center has a molded arch above a shaped skirt and all are raised by cabriole legs that terminate with rounded padded feet.
The lowboy’s top is decorated with star burst inlay. This piece is constructed out of solid maple and curly maple. Its condition is very good for its age with some minor professional restoration which doesn’t affect the age.
