Antique Viennese Enameled miniature footed Urn have been finished in enamel which has been hand painted in the manner of Austrian artist Jakob Wasserberger. The urn is elaborately decorated and feature six different scene cartouches bearing bucolic scenes populated with courting couples. The images include Renaissance motifs consisting of foliate scrolls executed in gold.
The cover and urn are both trimmed in gilded Antique Viennese Hand Painted Enameled Footed Covered Urn miniature, 19th Century metal with the cover having an statuette. The urn has two gilded metal bands decorated with some embossing. The inside of the foot and cover is finished in a decorative curvilinear pattern.
The covered urn stands 6 1/2" tall and is 2." In diameter at a top and 1 ¾” diameter at bottom the front of the spout to the back edge of the handle. The body is 1.75" at its widest point and the foot is 1.5" in diameter.
