1800's Antique Swedish Gustavian period two-part secretary made of birch wood and decorated with ebony inlay of neoclassical figures. Its top is a three door cabinet with shelfs and drawers. The bottom of this slant-front secretary has three large drawers which sit above a footed base decorated with a curved apron. Above the large drawers and behind the pull down slanted panel are twelve small drawers and a center door panel which opens to a storage compartment. All locks are in a working condition with original key. Minor wear. The cabinet’s pull down panel measures 14" L; with panel open, cabinet is 36" D.
