Antique 19th Century Lithograph of the River Seine at the Pont de Solferina. The name of the French architectural draftsman Augustus Charles Pugin (1762-1832) is noted on the back of the print. Perhaps this is a drawing by Pugin which was reproduced in an edition of colored lithographs. This print is from the book by H. Charpentier titled "Paris Dans Sa Splendour," ca. 1861. We believe this lithograph was printed by Henri Charpentier who worked in Paris in the 19th Century. The name of Phillippe Benoist also appears on the lithograph. It is also inscribed Nantes lith edition Paris, Quai des Augustin 55. Pont de Solferina is a footbridge to take pedestrians across the Seine, from and to the right and left bank. The image shows working boats and figures on and near the river. European. Print and frame are in the very good condition ; Frame Size : 21" W x 2" D x 25" H, Printed Image measure 9 ¾" H x 14 ¾" W
