Antique Buffet, Sideboard, Server, Chiffonier, Renaissance – Henry II Style, Black Forest France 19th Century

19th Century antique French Hand carved Buffet, sideboard, server, chiffonier constructed in the best tradition of the Renaissance/Henry II style. Three upper shelves with elaborate crown are connected to the bottom cabinet with one long pull out drawer above two doors which enclose the shelves fitted interior. The entire cabinet is decorated with hand carved fruit, foliage, branches and mystical figures. At the bottom, the opening between the shelves is 16”, the opening above that is 12”.

Antique Display Cabinet Queen Anne Style Walnut England C.A. 1900’s


Antique walnut display cabinet with a single bow-front glass door sitting on shaped Queen Anne style legs. The single door opens to reveal three interior glass shelves each ¼” thick. There is an additional cabinet storage space below the bottom shelf. The display is enhanced with a mirror back and light. The cabinet has its original lock and key which function properly. This display cabinet is in exceptionally good condition for its age.

Distance between the shelves 11 ¾” High, each shelve is 13 ½” Deep in the middle.

Antique Display Credenza Buffet Cabinet, Walnut, England, C. A. 1850’s

An antique mid 19th century English walnut credenza / buffet cabinet with a molded top above satinwood inlaid decoration. The cabinet's inlay runs horizontally just below the top, in the shape of medallion and scroll between thin bands. More inlay frames the doors. These are three curved d-shaped glass doors, decorated with Dore bronze ormolu mounts, and fitted shelve interior. Circa 1850s. Condition is particularly good for its age, structurally sound with no damage to the glass, all original hardware. Inside cloth lining is not original and is in very good condition - no tears or staining. Size: 57” L x 14” D x 41” H

Antique French Display Cabinet 19th Century Circa 1880

Antique 19th century walnut vitrine, enclosing three adjustable shelves that are flanked by glass sides and have mirror back interior behind a glass door. Constructed and designed in Renaissance Revival style or Henry II, decorated with turned and twisted column, with hand carved decoration of mystical creatures with Satyr and hybrid lion features. The cabinet's crown is pierced and has finials, its back is inlaid with satin wood of ornamental design. The entire cabinet stands on four turned feet. This fine vitrine is in exceptional original condition throughout, ready to place at home, circa 1880.

Antique Louis XV Oak Marble Top Sideboard, Buffet, Cabinet .19th Century. France.

19th century French marble top Louis XV style step front Cabinet - Buffet -Sideboard, constructed out of oak with three doors. Its central door is a carved medallion of scrolls and foliage, the two side doors below two pullout drawers have original beveled glass. At the bottom is an elaborate carved scalloped apron above short cabriole legs. The cabinet’s top surface has a white with gray wanes scalloped marble top, below elaborate splash top with caved cartouche, beveled mirror and parquetry medallions on each side. Original locks and keys are in working condition, all very good original condition. Size : 60" W x 26" D x Height including back splash is 67”, without is 41”.

English Chippendale Style Mahogany Breakfront Display Cabinet, C.A. 1900’s

Antique circa 1900 English Chippendale revival carved mahogany breakfront display cabinet. The cabinet is decorated at its top with a carved frieze of acanthus. The glass doors are elegantly decorated with carved acanthus scrolls and floral moldings. The cabinet's interior has two glass shelves. Its base has a long drawer, with lovely carving and hardware pull handle, raised on carved cabriole legs with claw and ball feet joined by a flattened stretcher. This cabinet is in very good condition for its age. It has minor stains on the fabric. It is possible that a carved pediment decorated the breakfront's top and is missing. Size : 60" L x 17"D  x 73" high Missing original label attributed to Chippendale House, Wells Road, Made by C Baker. Charles Baker (1841-1932) came from an important family of chair and cabinet makers working in Bath, the firm was known for its exacting recreation of 18th century designs, especially Sheraton and Chippendale patterns

Gothic Revival Oak Hutch /Cupboard, France, 18/19th century

This is a fine antique 18/19th century French Gothic Revival Oak Court Hutch/ Cupboard, with lovely components. The top portion has a crown decorated with geometric and floral tracery. Below it are three open shelves decorated with a frieze. Below the last shelf are three drawers, middle, right and left, each decorated with hand carved floral and geometric patterns. The drawers have forged iron hand pulls. The bottom portion of the cupboard is topped with decorative friezes. Below the friezes are two large drawers. These drawers sit above two cabinet niches with solid doors, each with a single shelve interior. The doors are decorated throughout with carved tracery, in geometric, floral and star-like patterns. The sides have straight un-carved paneling, all on two front slipper feet and two strait back feet. This piece is made with antique peg construction. This cupboard is constructed out of the fruit wood, stripped, and bleached. It has the original working lock and key. Top and bottom portions are not attached but fit securely. It is in very good condition for its age, structurally sound, minor early repairs. Size : 52” L x 21” D x 88” H Bottom :52"L x 21" D x 40" H Top: 47 1/2" W x 18": D x 48"H

Henry II Walnut Server Marble Top. France.1900’s. Renaissance. Sideboard. Antique.

Antique 19th Century Henry II Style French Walnut Server with Marble Top. The bottom portion of the Server constructed out of walnut with a marble top, two pull out drawers and two open  bottom shelves connected to turned front columns. The top portion of the server has a broken pediment crown decorated with finial above a single narrow shelve. Each of the shelves (2) is supported on each side by heavy turned architectural style columns. Two pull out drawers are with original locks and key. The server's top rear panel has lovely carving. Condition – Very good, no missing or replaced parts, hardware, marble no cracks or chips. Size: HEIGHT 70" (178 cm) WIDTH 49" (124 cm) DEPTH 20" (51 cm)

Marquetry Inlaid Gilt-Bronze Ormolu Mounted Marble Top Cabinet. France C. A. 1920’s

Antique - Vintage  circa 1920s French Louis XV / XVI style marquetry cabinet  with a marble top. The front door as well as each side decorated with a  beautiful floral marquetry inlays. The front of the cabinet decorated with turned columns, gilt bronze mounts in many shapes cover the cabinet. Most striking are the classical heads. There are bronze geometric patterns on the cabinet door and an elaborate bronze frieze runs across the cabinet. Bronze foliage scrolls add to the cabinet's beauty, and bronze capitals decorate it columns. The cabinet's top is a deep green marble with black and white grains. it's sit above a single pullout drawer and a single door opened to a fitted single shelve interior. The entire cabinet seats on four turned feet decorated with Ormolu mounts in the shape of a plaque. The cabinet is structurally sound and in very good original condition - no losses to the marquetry or ormolu. It has its original shaped marble top without any chips or cracks. An antique pair of French Henri II Oak Cabinets with Leaded Stained Glass Doors. Both cabinets are identically carved in the best tradition of the 19th century Renaissance Revival style with deep cornices and molded pilasters supporting the top. It is designed with foliage, sunburst, mystical creatures all carved by experienced master carvers. Behind the doors is a fitted shelf interior. Pair is in very good condition for its age. Each is : 35" W x 18" D x 83" H.
