Antique French Gold Leaf Gilt Louis Philippe Style Mirror with Crest. France 19th Century.
An antique 19th century French gold leaf gilt mirror. The mirror has an elaborate crest, and upper rounded corners typical of Louis Philippe mirrors. The frame is enriched with a beautiful ornate crest built on a central open C - cartouche motif flanked by acanthus and flowers and cross flame torches. A delicate pearl beading surrounds the original mirror glass. All in original condition, the gold leaf gilding is in almost perfect mint condition. The mirror also has its original silver nitrate silvered mirror glass and pine back cladding.
The mirror is in very good condition with no structural or exterior damages, ready to be hung on the wall.
