Schmidt Hofer (1873-1925) Berlin, Germany. Bronze figure of a Bowler. Art Deco Period.
An antique Art Deco bronze sculpture by Schmidt Hofer. This is a superbly cast bronze figure of a standing male in the position of a bowler about to roll a bowling ball, on a black-toned marble pedestal. The details of the figure's shirt and hands are skillfully rendered. The figure is signed Schmidt Hofer on the top of the base and there is an illegitimate Foundry mark, probably the mark of 'Deutsche Bronze' on the side of the base.
This Bronze is in excellent condition, with a few minor chips to the base and one small chip on the top of the marble pedestal, very appropriate for its age.

With pedestal : 2 3/4" w x 4 1/2" l x 10 1/2" h
Otto Schmidt-Hofer born in Berlin 1873 was a German sculptor who worked during the late 19th century and early 20th century. His work was primarily Neoclassical and Art Nouveau between 1893-1914 and Art Deco from 1915 until his death in 1925 Berlin , Germany.

Set of Four (4) French Breton Dining Chairs 19th Century France
Set of 4 (four) French Breton oak dining chairs with leather seats. Chairs are in good sturdy condition. They stand on turned legs with H-stretchers, the chairs have good all-round proportions. The leather seats are all in good condition with age wear and some snagging. The backs of the chairs are well crafted with turned spindles and ship wheel in the center.
The chairs each measure; 15 ½” W x 16 1/2” L x 40 ½” H , seat height 17 1/2”

Sterling Silver Picture Frame Repoussé Gorham c.a 1869
Antique 19th century sterling silver Gorham picture frame in Repoussé silver design, dated 1869. The piece is marked - The Gorham Mfg. Co., of Providence, Rhode Island, year-hallmarked B for 1869. This frame's repoussé silver is hand worked into elaborate scrolls and fruit garlands. The frame's top border is designed with a a large cartouche and its lower border is decorated with the head of a mythological creature with goat horns, a Satyr or Pan. The frame measures 6 inches high x 6 inches wide; frame measures 1 1/2 inches deep. Frame will hold a photo 3 ½ wide by 2 1/2 inches in high. Weight 145 gr. / 5 oz. Excellent condition.
