THIS ITEM IS SOLD

An antique 19th century French Louis XV style petite writing desk. It has a single long drawer with two bronze original handles, connected by four S-shape legs with bottom bronze mounts. Carved into the desk’s top surface, into its apron sides and into its front are carved foliage scrolls with a single branch, accented with a black color. The desk is constructed out of exotic Lacewood. This desk is in very sturdy condition, it had minor professional restoration and repairs.

  • Opening from the floor to the bottom of the drawer is 24 ½”

The cabinet's inlay runs horizontally just below the top, in the shape of medallion and scroll between thin bands. More inlay frames the doors. These are three curved d-shaped glass doors, decorated with Dore bronze ormolu mounts, and fitted shelve interior. Circa 1850s. Condition is particularly good for its age, structurally sound with no damage to the glass, all original hardware. Inside cloth lining is not original and is in very good condition - no tears or staining. Size: 57” L x 14” D x 41” H

Antique Ebonized library armchair in French Directoire style with upholstered back and seat cushions in a neutral color with large pattern chenille fabric. The armrests are partially upholstered in the same fabric. The chair has four turned legs connected by an X-shaped stretcher with the four original porcelain casters.

Condition:

Chair is in very good condition and very sturdy for its age. It was recently reupholstered.

An Exceptional French Late 19th early 20th century Regency Louis XV style marble top  Presidential Bureau Plat. The three-drawer desk has a veneer as well as mounted Bronze ormolu. The rectangular marble top is inserted within an ormolu molded frame decorated with rocaille-cast clasps on each corner. At the scalloped shaped frieze is a central recessed drawer flanked by foliate Rococo C-shaped scrolls, and drawers on each side. Each drawer is elaborately bordered with foliate scrolled ormolu mounts with ormolu keyhole escutcheons. The back is similarly decorated with the same design on its three faux drawers. On each side are exquisite ormolu mounts of female masks amidst foliate patterns and ormolu frame. On the reverse side are three similar decorative false drawers. On each corner are richly chased mounts of helmeted female maidens, atop cabriole legs terminated with foliate wraparound ormolu acanthus sabots.

The buffet is constructed out of walnut and has the original marble top above four serpentine shape pull out drawers with original bronze hardware. Four tall cabriole legs are connected by a scalloped shaped apron on three sides. The cabinet in very good condition with all of the original finish and is very sturdy. Made in Italy around 1910s.

The sideboard has a green Italian marble top. Its style is modern linear geometric design, with four cabinet doors behind which are interior adjustable shelves. There is a long drawer in the sideboard's center below the marble. Each cabinet door is decorated with a central medallion of floral marquetry and mother of pearl inlay. The entire structure is supported by four front ball feet and two strait feet in the back. Condition: is very sturdy, no damages or replacements, original hardware, keys and locks. THIS ITEM IS SOLD An early 20th. century Louis XV style Sideboard carved  in best tradition of Italian craftsmen. The sideboard is constructed out of walnut and walnut veneer. It is decorated with hand carved shells and applied scrolls. The carved front legs have a snail form foot. The four front doors enclose a fitted shelf interior and the right side door is fitted with pull out drawers. The piece's shape has a slight serpentine bow front, its top has a detachable back splash decorated with a hand carved pierced cartouche. It is 12” High in the middle. Sideboard is in exceptionally good condition for its age. The top was professionally restored to original condition. Size: 9’3” L x 24” D x 38” h – Back is 50” H. with back splash.

The settee seat is raised by six turned legs below a straight frieze decorated band which extends along the sides and back of the seat. Above each of the corner legs are richly chased block rosettes with additional decorative geometric patterns extending up the beautiful gilt wood support which reach up to the sofa's arms, and which are also finished on the inside. The sofa's seat support is centered at the back by an exceptional richly carved bow and ribbons. Sofa Settee is structurally sound, upholstery is in good condition with no tears or holes.
