A French antique 19th century Louis XVI Style gilt wood sofa settee. The settee seat is raised by six turned legs below a straight frieze decorated band which extends along the sides and back of the seat. Above each of the corner legs are richly chased block rosettes with additional decorative geometric patterns extending up the beautiful gilt wood support which reach up to the sofa’s arms, and which are also finished on the inside. The sofa’s seat support is centered at the back by an exceptional richly carved bow and ribbons.
Sofa Settee is structurally sound, upholstery is in good condition with no tears or holes.
